The Branson Fire Department was presented with a donation in the amount of $1,500 from Branson business owners, Dr. Joy Watson and her husband Tom, that will go to its Technical Rescue Program, on Friday, December 14.
Dr. Watson operates the Healing Tree Health Club with locations at the Victorian Village in Branson and in the community of Berryville, Arkansas. The Healing Tree Health Club offers advanced holistic health care by offering the newest technology for personalized therapies and education.
The Watsons have expressed a desire to provide funds to the Branson Fire Department to purchase items to enhance the safety of the firefighters. This is the fourth year the Watsons have made a donation to the fire department, totaling $5,000. Their generosity has allowed the Fire Department to fund un-budgeted technical rescue equipment like Swift Water Rescue and Confined Space Rescue equipment as well as a dry suit to protect firefighters entering cold or contaminated waters for rescue operations, including incidents during the flooding along Lake Taneycomo.
“We are so thankful for the services our firefighters provide in our community and we want to give just back in a way that will keep them safe and provide equipment for special types of rescues,” stated Dr. Watson.
The Branson Fire Department is grateful for the support of Dr. Watson.
“We have been able to use these funds to purchase lifesaving safety resources and equipment that will greatly improve our ability to do our job but that we wouldn’t have had money to buy otherwise,” said Branson Fire Captain Jason Bruck.
