UPDATE: 9-1-1 SERVICE OUTAGE AFFECTS VERIZON CUSTOMERS IN BRANSON

Branson, MO (August 22, 2017) – The Branson Fire Department has provided an update that only Verizon customers are affected by the 911 service outage throughout Branson and the counties of Taney, Stone, Christian and Dade.

According to Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin, a cut to a fiber optic line has caused a complete outage of the 9-1-1 emergency phone system for Verizon cell phone users in this four county area, although details regarding the cause of the outage and timeline for restoration of the 911 system remains unknown.

In the interim, Verizon customers should use the following numbers to reach emergency services in Taney County, including the City of Branson:

  • Taney County Sheriff (417) 546-7250
