Public Invited to Participate in 9th Annual Trout Fishing Tournament to Benefit the Branson Professional Firefighter’s Rescue Fund Supporting Needs of Local Families
Branson, MO (August 10, 2017) – The Branson Fire Department invites the community to participate in the 9th Annual Branson Professional Firefighter’s “Guns & Hoses Trout Fishing Tournament” to benefit local families in need of financial assistance. The tournament will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm at Lilley’s Landing Resort & Marina on Lake Taneycomo in Branson, Missouri.
The annual trout fishing tournament benefits the needs of local families experiencing financial distress through the Branson Professional Firefighter’s rescue fund. This fund provides assistance through programs like “The Back Pack Program” – a local charity that sends food home with children after school who might otherwise go hungry.
The entry fee for each two-man team is $75 which includes lunch following the tournament, and a raffle ticket for each participant to be entered in the post-tournament raffle comprised of items donated by many Ozark Mountain area businesses. Thanks to the generosity of Lilleys’ Landing Resort & Marina, boat rentals are available at a 50% discount for participants. Winners of 1st-3rd places and Big Fish will be awarded a trophy and a Bass Pro Shops gift card. Additional raffle tickets are available for purchase following the tournament.
