Business, Contractor and Liquor License Renewals Due by April 30
Branson, MO (April 18, 2017) – The City of Branson wishes to remind business operators that only a few days are left to renew business licenses, contractor licenses, and liquor licenses. Failure to submit license renewals by April 30 will result in a penalty.
Notices were mailed to businesses in late February informing regarding the license renewal date, and reminder notices followed in early April.
Required documentation for business license renewals includes a copy of a paid business personal property tax receipt from the Taney County Collector’s Office, a copy of a driver’s license, and tax clearance from the Missouri Department of Revenue. Contractor licenses require proof of workman’s compensation.
On May 1, any business that has not renewed its license will automatically operate on a temporary license at a cost of $7.50/day until the annual license is issued, and a daily accumulated license fee will be incurred in addition the cost of the annual license. The annual license fee range from $50 to $300 and is calculated based on the number of employees working at the business location on its busiest day or the previous year.
Business owners may renew their licenses in person Monday thru Friday 8:30AM-4:30 on the second floor of Branson City Hall, 110 W Maddux Street in Branson or mail the renewal application with required documentation postmarked no later than April 30.
