City of Branson Accepting 2017 Green Initiative Award Applications
Branson, MO (February 24, 2017) – The City of Branson is now accepting applications for the annual Green Initiative Awards. Now in its ninth year, the Green Initiative Award Program recognizes community members for their efforts in recycling and conservation.
2016 award recipients were:
- Hunter’s Friend Resort for their efforts in Sustainability
- Skoglund Properties for their efforts in Recycling and Sustainability
- Clark Harris for his efforts in Conservation, Vision and Volunteerism
Applications for the Green Initiative Awards are now available on the City’s website at: http://www.bransonmo.gov/508/Green-Initiative-Award.
Guidelines for nominations are as follows:
- You may nominate others or apply for yourself;
- Each winner may win only once in ten years;
- Up to two (2) individuals and two (2) organizations may be recognized each year.
Completed applications may be submitted to the City of Branson Planning & Development Department via email to TNorback@BransonMO.gov or faxed to 417-334-2391.
The deadline for submission is April 1, 2017. Applications will be reviewed by the City of Branson Sustainability Council.
