Gretna Road to close north of Highway 76 for utility construction

On Monday, February 13, Gretna Road will be closed from the Highway 76 intersection north to Francis Street for the construction of underground utilities across Gretna as part of the Highway 76 Revitalization Program.

Northbound traffic on Gretna will be rerouted east on 76 to North Francis Street that runs north and intersects with Gretna. Only local traffic to businesses and residents on Gretna west of Francis Street will be allowed.

Visitors to The Titanic Museum will access the attraction from Highway 76 on the east side.

Weather permitting, this construction is expected to take four days to complete and will reopen to traffic on Friday, February 17.

Barriers will prevent entrance to north Gretna at Highway 76, and signs on north and south Gretna and east and west 76 will direct traffic to the Francis Street detour.

All underground construction in this Segment 3 of Branson's 76 Revitalization Program  is occurring in the region that extends approximately one-half mile from Presleys’ Theater to the Branson Ferris Wheel.

City of Branson officials expect the installation of a new waterline and underground utility conduits in this segment to be completed by the end of May.
