BRANSON, Mo – Drivers will see temporary lane closures in the eastbound lane of W. 76 Country Blvd from the Branson Ferris Wheel to the Presley’s Country Jubilee on Thursday, May 12, 2022, through Friday, May 13, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. while crews begin the removal of the utility poles as part of the final stages of the W. 76 Country Blvd Utility Undergrounding project.
The removal of the utility poles will involve temporary lane closures in the eastbound lane for equipment trucks and crews working in the area. Great effort is being taken to ensure minimal impact to businesses, customers and properties in the area. Signage will be in place to detour traffic around the lane closure and to meet traffic safety standards during the removal. Drivers are asked to be aware of changing traffic patterns and work crews in the marked Work Zone.
After the utility poles are removed, the city will begin the final step of installing street and pedestrian lights. This project began January 5, 2022, to enhance the visual aesthetics of W. 76 Country Blvd. It is the result of the positive partnership between the 76 Entertainment Community Improvement District (76ECID) and the local government at City Hall and is an important step to continue the 76 revitalization project. While it was originally expected to be complete by the end of April 2022, crews ran into delays due to weather and the City’s utility portion of the project should be complete by June 15, 2022.
