The City Prosecutor's Office is responsible for prosecuting city ordinance violations written by the Branson Police Department, to include Animal Control and Code Enforcement. 

The office is located in Branson City Hall at 110 W Maddux Street, Branson, MO 65616 on the second floor in the Administration Office, Suite 210.

  • Where is the Branson Municipal Court located?
    The Court is located in City Hall at 110 W. Maddux Street, Branson, MO 65616. Court is held on the second floor just inside the main entrance.
  • Do I need an attorney?
    You are not required to be represented by counsel; however, it is your right to retain an attorney. The Prosecutor's Office cannot make recommendations on legal counsel or provide any legal advice.
  • Are municipal court violations misdemeanors?
    All charges filed in the municipal court are city ordinance violations; they are not misdemeanors.
  • Can I pay my ticket online?
    To see if your citation is eligible for the online Plead & Pay option prior to your court date, search on CaseNet Missouri, for your case. Look for the "Plead and Pay" option. If this option is unavailable, your citation requires a mandatory in-person Court appearance. Contact the Branson Municipal Court with any questions here or 417-335-4578.
  • What if I can't make my court date?
    The Prosecutor's Office cannot change a court date. You must submit this request to the Court for the Judge to consider. To request a new court date, contact the Branson Municipal Court here or 417-335-4578.
  • Can I meet with the Prosecutor?
    To schedule a phone conference or meeting with the Prosecutor outside of your scheduled court time, please contact our office at 417.337.8513 or  email If you do not hear back from our office prior to your court date, you are still required to appear in Court at the date and time on your summons.
  • What if I had valid insurance at the time of my traffic stop and didn't have it with me?
    Go to our website and complete the Contact the Prosecutor form. Attach a copy of your citation and your valid insurance. The insurance must have been valid on the date of your citation.
  • Will points be assessed to my driver's license for this citation?
    Points are placed against your driving record by the Missouri Department of Revenue according to the type of convicted offense. For more information, visit their website
  • Is there a virtual Court option?
    At this time, there is no option for a virtual Court appearance unless you are incarcerated at the Taney County Jail.
  • Where can I go to do my community service?
    You may do your assigned Community Service at any 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization of your choosing. You may not be compensated for your service in any way. The City Prosecutor's Office does not recommend any particular location or charity, but qualifying organizations would typically include:
    • Food Bank/Food Pantry
    • Churches
    • Animal Shelter/Rescues
    • Recycling Centers

  • Is there a form for community service? Where do I turn in my proof of completed community service hours into?
    Contact the Branson Municipal Court for any forms required by the Court as part of your sentencing. Completed community service hours are to be reported to the Court. You may also submit a copy to our office to retain in your case file if you wish, but it is not required. To submit this, complete the Contact the Prosecutor form. Attach a copy of your proof of community service.
  • I need to schedule a re-inspection at my property. Who do I contact?
    To schedule a re-inspection of your property, you will need to coordinate with the Code Enforcement Unit. For more information, visit Code Enforcement
  • I received a subpoena or summons for Branson Municipal Court. What do I do?
    You must appear on the date and time shown on your summons or subpoena. Be prepared to answer questions referencing the case notated on the document.
  • How can I find out if my license is suspended or revoked? How can my license be reinstated?
    Contact your local DMV or the Missouri Department of Revenue for information on the status of your Missouri operator's license. For more information, visit their website. For out-of-state drivers, you will need to contact your state's DMV/DOR.
  • Can I report a crime to the Prosecutor?
    If you are witnessing a crime in progress or need immediate assistance, please call 911. If you would like to report a past crime or complete a Police Report, please contact the Branson Police Department or visit their website to report a non-emergency crime online at The Prosecutor only prosecutes municipal citations originating from City of Branson Departments; she will not independently investigate crimes or issue citations.
