The City of Branson adopted and implemented a Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) Management Program to provide protection for the city’s sewer collection and treatment systems. The objective of the FOG management program includes, but is not limited to:
- The minimization of the introduction and/or removal of FOG and other soluble material associated with food preparation discharge to the city sewer collection system.
- Provide effective means of interception of FOG through proven effective FOG interceptors and grease recovery units.
- To eliminate sanitary sewer overflows (SSO) caused by FOG build-up within the sewer collection system.
This program shall apply only to commercial food preparation establishments connected to the city’s sewer collection system.
