 Basic Dog
Obedience Classes
Learn how to teach your dog to respond to basic commands and proper
canine manners. Dogs must be at least five months old with proof of
immunizations is required the first night of class (dogs do not
attend the first
class). If you have
specific question regarding your pet and training, please call Tish
at (417)-593-6024. Class sessions are eight weeks and are limited to
10 enrollees, call the Park's Department for enrollment.

Day Camp
Join us for a summer
of fun! Day camp give kids an opportunity to participate in a cool
and exciting environment at the RecPlex. We have your child's summer
planned with great activities and programs...games, sports,
swimming, arts and crafts, movies, field trips, and much more. Sign
up for a one-week session or the whole summer. Each week of camp has
a different theme with varied activities planned. Hope to see you
this summer!

Girls
Softball Clinic
(Girls Ages 7-18)
This
popular softball clinic is held every spring to officially kick off
the start of the youth softball
season. The
clinic is designed
to instruct girls ages 7 to 18 on hitting, fielding, throwing
mechanics, base running, pitching and catching. The clinic is
conducted by long time pitching coach Eddie Dake. Coaches are invited and encouraged to attend.
All participants receive a free one-day pass to the aquatic center.

on 3 Street Ball Showdown
Join us
for the 3rd Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament. Divisions offered
for you, high school and adult males and females. Double elimination
format. All participants will receive a t-shirt. Pick up a
registration form at the RecPlex. Deadline is April 16.
Walk-ups will only be taken to fill divisions.

photographers 18 years and older, both amateur and professional, to
help us showcase our community by sharing your best original photos
taken at any Branson Parks & Recreation facility, park, event, sport

Junior
Golf Clinic
Want to find out if you like golf?
Every summer junior golf clinics are
held that serve to introduce kids to
the game of golf. This free,
two-day clinic offers expert
instruction from area
professionals. The first day,
youth participants
are taught the proper fundaments of
grip, stance, and correct swing
techniques at the Ledgestone Golf
course driving range. The second day the
kids move to the Don Gardner Par 3
Course, where they put the skills
that were taught the day before into
action. Limited space is available
for this popular clinic typically
held in June. For more

Children's
Theatre Workshop
The
Children's Theatre Workshop, in its 27th year, provides a week long
experience in learning about the theatre.
This annual summer drama camp has been recognized as one of the best
in the nation by the National Thespians Association. Approximately
100 children will perform a live play before an audience by the time
the program is over. This summer drama camp is for students 1st
thru 5th grade and junior high students who have
completed the 6th, 7th, or 8th
grade. Sponsored by the
Branson Arts Council and the Branson Parks & Recreation Department.
Youth Session Dates (you
may only sign-up for one session)
(Grades 1-5): July 12-16 or July 19-23
Times: 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Junior High Session Date (you
may only sign-up for one session)
(Grades 6-8): July 12-16 or July 19-23
Times: 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Each session will conclude with a performance on that Friday night.
All students
in the program receive a t-shirt, which serves as the basis of the

Back
to School Bash
Join us for our 4th
Annual Back to School Bash on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the RecPlex.
This free community event supplies backpacks filled with school
supplies for local children & youth. It's a ton of family fun
complete with giant inflatables, games, and free swimming. This
event is hosted by the First Baptist Church of Branson with many
community sponsors.

Challenger Youth Soccer Camp
Brought back by popular demand! The
camp will be taught by British instructors, who play at the
collegiate level in the U.K. Instruction is devoted to the
fundamentals of soccer such as dribbling, passing, shooting and
footwork. There will also be small sided games and a camp WORLD CUP!
All participants will receive a camp t-shirt and soccer ball! If you
register before 45 days of the camp, you will receive a FREE soccer
jersey!

A sports camp with a difference!
If your child love playing
sports then this is the camp for
them. Three hours each day
packed with sports and games
from the U.K. The camp runs from
Monday through Friday 1-4pm
(Ages 8-13) and features classic
British sports such as Cricket,
Tag Rugby, Rounder's as well as
the fun games that the kids
across the pond play every day
at school including British Bull
Dogs, Relays, obstacle courses,
Brit Ball and many more...
This is a camp for those
children that are serious about
having fun and enjoy trying new
sports and activities. The camp
is led by experience British
coaching staff that will teach
the children the basics and then
let them play. No boring line
drills, just lots of action and
fun! Children will get to learn
and play new sports as well as
take part in some of the most
fun, action packed games.

Dive-In Swim
Bring your furry four
legged friend to take a dip at the Branson Aquaplex. They can play fetch, wade around in the shallow are or
dive off the diving board for the favorite toy. Registration is not
required. Owners are responsible for doggy messes and every dog must
have at least one handler. Donations will be accepted and donated to
the Taney County Humane Society.

Rotary
Youth Fishing Tournament
Have a
great time fishing and learning the concept of catch and release. An
annual kids fishing tournament is hosted by the Branson Daybreakers
Rotary Club. The tournament is held at the ponds on the Don Gardner
Par 3 golf course, adjacent to the Branson Community Center. All
fish will be weighed and prizes will be awarded in each age group
consisting of ages 3-6, 7-10 and 11-14.
Advance registration is required. Limit of 75 kids.

Trick or Treat at
Branson RecPlex! Come to the trick or treat maze, ride through the

Breakfast
With Santa
Santa Claus will be making a special stop this year at the Branson
RecPlex. We will be serving a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, orange
juice, milk and coffee first and then a visit to Santa. All children
will receive a gift from Santa. Parents are encouraged to bring
their own cameras and kids should bring their Christmas lists to
share with Santa. There will be two shifts of breakfast and visiting
Santa, space is limited, so register early!! Walk ups only if space
is available.
