The City of Branson’s Finance Department has been awarded the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the fifth consecutive year for the 2019 budget document.
This is a significant achievement by the City of Branson that reflects the commitment of the finance staff to meet the highest principles of governmental budgeting.
“This award is indicative of the department’s hard work, ethics, and high standards and represents the city’s desire to provide open and transparent information to the public,” said Finance Director, Jamie Rouch.
This award program was established to encourage and assist state and local governments to prepare budget documents of the very highest quality. In order to receive this award, the budget document must comply with a strict set of criteria and ensures that the budget serves as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and a communication device.
